Education and Certifications
Coach Kim has a strong education background, including a Masters of Science in Applied Exercise Science with an emphasis on injury prevention and corrective exercise. She is certified as an athletic trainer at both a state and national level, and has further training and certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist through NASM. She keeps up with continuing education as well as industry trends and research for biomechanics, training plans, and coaching philosophies, making her highly equipped to partner with athletes to reach their goals. Coach Kim has over 10 years experience coaching athletes of all levels, across several disciplines, from Ironman athletes to high school and collegiate sports teams. She has worked with individuals and groups, including the Team Phoenix multisport team for females affected by cancer. Her experience enables her to understand what works for different athletes of various abilities, and to design plans that are effective and manageable, not intimidating and overwhelming. Community and Personal Accolades
Coach Kim is well-known throughout the metro Milwaukee endurance community as a positive, motivational, and genuine coach, in addition to being educated and qualified. She has completed countless triathlons and running races, and is a two-time Ironman Wisconsin finisher. You’ll often see her out at local races, group and fun runs, and volunteering when she’s not participating. You’ll notice her by the huge smile on her face and her extremely loud cheering. She loves helping athletes make progress in productive, purposeful ways, and cheering for them as they go for their goals, as she is a revered coach throughout the community.
Coach Kim is a wife and mother of four, and in the few free moments when she’s not coaching, training, and supporting the community, she likes to ride her motorcycle, attend local festivals, and cook.
